Libertus Interruptus takes the language of liberty and shows what happens when it’s cut short, co-opted, or reduced to spectacle. The Statue still stands, but the lightning tells the truth: freedom isn’t always stolen in broad daylight. Sometimes it’s disrupted quietly, repeatedly, by those who claim to protect it.

This design isn’t about shock value.

The imagery is exaggerated for a reason. Liberty doesn’t usually fall all at once. It’s chipped away in moments played for laughs, excuses dressed up as inevitability, and authority slipping into farce.

This shirt doesn’t explain itself.
It doesn’t need to.

It assumes the wearer is paying attention.

This is not nostalgia.
It’s a warning.
